After conducting scale-up efforts that made waves throughout the industry, Beyond Meat has finally gone public with its plans for global domination!

In 2018, Beyond Meat will be taking its plant-based meats to omnivores abroad in more than 50 countries across six continents. Food-lovers, environmentalists, and health-seeker—it’s time to celebrate!

The Beyond Burger made its Hong Kong debut at Green Common in 2017.

This monumental expansion follows the construction of a new research and innovation center in Los Angeles earlier this year, which is “projected to cut production scale-up timelines in half.” Considering that Beyond Meat doubled its sales in 2017 and made it into more than 27,000 grocery stores and restaurants in the U.S. alone, one can see why such an expansion is necessary!

With former McDonald’s CEO Don Thompson on the company’s board, we have to wonder if the Beyond Burger will one day become as ubiquitous as the Big Mac. As the startup races to deliver the familiar flavor and texture of meat — just from plants, not animals — we believe that it is possible to redefine meat on this scale, especially if the end result is as delicious as Beyond’s burgers, sausages, and other cutting-edge products.

Thanks for changing the world with good food, Beyond Meat!
